A mistake that consultants often make while trying to create impressive PowerPoint presentations is applying too much razzmatazz to a PPT. You don’t need to insert every animation effect available in PowerPoint to a single slide. This does not make the content memorable, instead it looks tacky and confused.
If you’re using a Wipe effect for one point in a bulleted list, apply the same effect to all the other points as well. Don’t try to mix things up in the pursuit of visual trickery. Keeping the animation effects simple and the design clean is the best way to communicate content through PowerPoint.
