Aspiring as well as amateur photographers don’t just share photography in common. They also crave making their photographs really stand out and in the process, even gain some appreciation! Now learning this new activity and at the same time figuring out how to frame them (physically or digitally) could be too much, especially if you’ve chosen photography as a hobby. While there’s scores of software, it is very rare that PowerPoint is ever mentioned!
In this tutorial, we will show you how to easily make a photo album in PowerPoint of all of your photographs. And if you remember that PowerPoint is a slideshow tool first and foremost, then you can call your most ardent fans and treat them to your photographs in slideshow mode (F5)!
How to Create a Photo Album in PowerPoint
Step 1: Go to Insert > Photo Album > New Photo Album
Step 2: Click on File/ Disk
Step 3: Select one picture or multiple (by holding down the Shift key) and click on Insert
Step 4: Formatting your photo album:
a. Ensure that you’ve selected all of your pictures
b. Select the Picture Options that best suits you
c. Use the Album Layout options for layout, frame and theme.
Note: As you select the different options under Frame Shape, you will also get to see a preview of your photo album.
Tip: The default number of pictures in PowerPoint for an album is four per slide. But you can easily copy-paste any number. In our example, we’ve copy-pasted all eight images to one slide and simply aligned them.
